About the Program
Our program offers a one-year structured fellowship training in Primary Care Clinical Health Psychology. Our program began in 1987 and has consistently trained psychologists to assume leadership positions in primary care, medical education, and health psychology positions. We have traditionally been part of the Michigan Center for Advanced Psychology Training (MICAPT). Given the continued collaborative relationship with the MICAPT program, APA has agreed to allow Ascension Genesys Hospital to be listed as accredited throughout the periodic review process. A site visit is anticipated in 2019.
The program has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in recruitment, curriculum, and clinical services. We seek to create an inclusive, welcoming, and diverse learning and professional environment for all postdoctoral fellows, staff, and faculty, and is committed to the recruitment and retention of members of underrepresented groups. Ascension is an equal opportunity employer.
