Applying to the Program

The Orthopedic Surgery residency accepts (3) three residents per year.  Student audition rotations are encouraged.  You must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

The following items are required for your application to be considered complete:
  • Comlex or USMLE 1 & 2 exams must be taken.   Exams (including PE  and CS Exams) must be passed on the first attempt.
  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
  • Personal Statement
  • Transcripts
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • USMLE Steps 1 & 2 are encouraged for Osteopathic candidates but not currently required.

Applications must be received and complete by November 30 of the current year.

After the applicant review process is completed, invitations to interview will be extended to qualified applicants.  Traditionally our  interview day has occurred on a Saturday, however this year we are anticipating virtual interviews and are still in the planning process.
