Rotation Schedule

Our residents are exposed to a variety of experiences, both within our walls and far outside of them. 

 PGY1 and PGY2

• One month each year is spent in the surgical ICU at Henry Ford Hospital

PGY3

• One month is spent on transplant at St. John Hospital

• One month is spent doing trauma at Hurley Medical Center

PGY4

• One month is spent doing trauma at Hurley Medical Center

• One month is spent on Pediatrics at either Detroit Medical Center or St. John Hospital

• Three to four months of elective rotations can be scheduled in breast, critical care, trauma, vascular, plastics, hepatobiliary or MIS and can be done outside of Genesys

PGY5

• The chief year is spent at Genesys with multiple clinical chief months
