Paramedic Program

The Paramedic program at Genesys meets and exceeds State of Michigan and Paramedic National Standard Curriculum requirements. This 4 semester "Hybrid Program" consist of classroom and online components. Clinical rotations are performed within Genesys Regional Medical Center and with various EMS agencies in Genesee and the surrounding counties. EMT-Basic licensure is a prerequisite. Successful completion of the Genesys Paramedic program prepares the student for the State of Michigan licensure Exam as an EMT-Paramedic. Graduates can also receive college credit for this program if they matriculate into Baker College, or Mott Community College. The Genesys Regional Medical Center Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs ( upon the recommendation of Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). All Paramedic Programs are held at the Genesys Materials Management Building in the EMS Education Classrooms.
